Artificial Intelligence is reshaping both how electronic systems are designed and the computing architectures that enable AI at scale. The DAC AI program explores advances across this rapidly evolving landscape—from AI and machine learning for design automation to the chips, systems, architectures, and infrastructure powering increasingly sophisticated AI workloads.

As generative and agentic AI move from experimentation into engineering workflows, AI is becoming an active participant throughout the design process. New approaches are emerging for design exploration, verification, optimization, debugging, modeling, and engineering productivity, creating opportunities to rethink how complex chips and systems are developed. At the same time, rapidly growing AI workloads are driving innovation in accelerators, memory, interconnects, chiplets, advanced packaging, power efficiency, and system-level design.

DAC’s AI sessions bring together researchers, engineers, developers, and industry leaders working across AI for design and design for AI. Topics span AI/ML algorithms and methodologies, generative and agentic AI for electronic design automation, AI hardware and architectures, domain-specific acceleration, edge and data-center AI, and the challenges of building secure, reliable, energy-efficient, and scalable AI systems.

Through research, engineering advances, and real-world applications, the AI program provides a forum to explore what is possible today, the challenges that remain, and how AI will shape the next generation of electronic design and computing.
