This program is funded by the Design Automation Conference with generous support from Cadence Design Systems and Siemens EDA.

Who Should Apply
The DAC Young Fellows program is designed for early-stage students entering the world of Electronic Design Automation, from Chips to Systems. We welcome applications from talented individuals worldwide, especially those from underrepresented groups.

You must be a full-time student pursuing an MSc or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related EDA field.
Participation is geared toward students in the early stages of their academic journey.
Accepted participants will receive free full DAC registration (not applicable if you're an author of an accepted DAC paper, as a full paid registration is required for paper authors).

The funding check will be distributed at the end of the conference. Active participation throughout the program is required to receive the grant.
Additional funding from your advisor will likely be needed to cover the full cost of travel. "Double-dipping" with other full travel reimbursements is not permitted.
An endorsement letter from your advisor confirming your student status and their commitment to covering any additional travel expenses.

It was an incredible week at DAC!
Participated DAC for the first time and it was overwhelming. It’s more than a conference, rather bringing all the chip giants under one umbrella - where leaders from industry and academia came together to discuss the future of chip design, address emerging challenges, and showcase cutting-edge innovations. From keynote talks and exhibition to live demos and technical sessions - gave me lots of positive energy belonging to this amazing semiconductor community, networking with fellow mates. Being a chip design and chip security researcher, this conference felt close to heart getting to know industries solving the same problem we are trying to solve.
This year I received the prestigious DAC Young Fellowship to attend DAC at Longbeach, CA. Thanks Patrick Groeneveld for arranging this wonderful program and giving me the opportunity to be part of DAC Young Fellows. Truly enjoyed every bit of it. Another highlight was presenting our paper, "ATLAS: AI-Assisted Threat-to-Assertion Learning for System-on-Chip Security Verification," where I had the privilege of being a co-first author. Many thanks to Ishraq Tashdid for delivering the presentation. Also it felt amazing exploring DAC as a team with my supervisor Dr. Sazadur Rahman. Looking forward to attending DAC again next year!
