Workshops

A workshop is a focused meeting spanning from two to nine hours, gathering together 30 or more people interested in a common topic related to design, design methodologies, and design automation for intense discussion and information exchange.  All workshops will be held on Sunday, June 22 at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, CA.

If you notice an issue with your paper in the DAC program or need to request a change, please submit a change request.

  • September 27, 2024: Submission Opens
  • November 19, 2024: Submission Closes 
  • February 26, 2025: Accept/Reject Notification
  • March 13, 2025: Confirmation forms due
  • March 13, 2025: Final Session Details Due for DAC.com
  • April 10, 2025: Presenter Registration Deadline
  • April 25, 2025: Draft Materials Due

REGISTRATION

I need an invitation letter for my visa. How do I request this?

Prior to the launch of registration on March 20, authors may request an invitation letter by submitting our visa letter request form. After registration is open, you may request a letter as part of the registration process.

Do Workshop presenters need to register for DAC? If so, which registration rates are acceptable?

Yes, all presenters and moderators must register for DAC at the Research Speaker Rate; please reference your acceptance email for information on how to receive the Speaker Rate. This is a full conference registration. Research Speakers may not use the Full Conference Student, Engineering Track or I LOVE DAC registration rates.

WORKSHOP DETAILS

Final details for the website should include:

  • The title of the workshop
  • Abstract of 500 words
  • Topic Area (a list is provided)
  • Organizer(s) name, affiliation, city, state, country, and email address
  • Presenter(s) name, affiliation, city, state, country, and email address
  • All supplemental information should be submitted via a PDF attachment.
  • All workshop content will be hosted on the DAC website. If you choose to host workshop materials on your own website, you must provide the link to DAC following the same deadlines for review. DAC will post a PDF file of the workshop schedule/agenda on the website. Organizer is responsible for sending new files to incorporate all changes and updates.

WORKSHOP GUIDELINES

  • The workshop must not have obtained any financial sponsorship and/or technical co-sponsorship from any organization. If you have obtained this type of sponsorship, please contact Alexis Bauer Kolak for further instructions of where to submit the proposal.
  • All workshop content will be hosted on the DAC website. If you choose to host workshop materials on your own website, you must provide the link to DAC following the same deadlines for review.

AV & ROOM SETUP

If you are having a panel, all panel information is due April 25.

  • Please include:
    • Quantity of panelists
    • Panel presentation time
    • Panel presenter information
    • All panelists (s) name, affiliation, city, state, country and email address

If you are having a poster presentation, all poster information is due April 25.

  • Please include:
    • Quantity of posters
    • Poster presentation time
    • Poster presenter information
  • Please note the following regarding your presentations:
    • If requested, you will be provided poster boards that are able to fit two presentations per side (a total of 4 posters per board) that are sized 48 inches tall by 36 inches wide. You are free to use this area in any way (e.g., one large poster, multiple sheets, etc.)—if you choose to use multiple sheets instead of one poster, you can produce a total of six (6) A4 pages or print a total of twelve (12) PowerPoint presentation slides (2 slides per A4 page).
    • We will provide thumbtacks (pushpins) to hang your poster on provided cork boards at the back of your technical session room.
    • Do not use foam core material for your poster or any other thick/heavy material.
    • DAC will not supply output or production services.
    • Please remove your display immediately following your workshop. If you do not remove your display by the specified time, the pages or poster will be discarded.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need to register for DAC? If so, which registration rates are acceptable?

DAC requires all organizers and presenters to register for DAC at the speaker rate. DAC will provide a limited number of workshop-only discounts depending on program length. 
This includes access to the following activities:

  • Exhibit Floor
  • Keynotes
  • Receptions (Sunday-Thursday)

Are workshops included in the DAC proceedings?

DAC will not produce proceedings for workshops.

Is expense reimbursement available to organizers or preenters?

DAC will not reimburse the organizer or presenters for any expenses.

Will any workshops be cancelled?

DAC reserves the right to cancel the workshop if low registration dictates this action. Notification of a change in schedule or cancellation will be made no later than May 6, 2025.
