Gabe Moretti's Moment

I have attended DAC as a user, an exhibitor, and as a reporter for well over 35 years. My favorite moment was in 1991. I was with HDL Systems a self funded startup. I convinced my partners that we just had to have a DAC booth. But with little money we could not afford a commercial one. So I worked my San Francisco contacts and had the booth designed and constructed by a theater scenic designer. His budget was $5,000.00. The booth was made with wood and fabric and ended up real strong but with a certain transparency that made it just special. I do not know for sure, but I bet it is the best looking 20X20 booth for the money.
